Healthier Place

This page is dedicated to some of my healthier foods and recipes.  I am not a health freak by any means, however, I love a wild salmon diet coupled with lots of green vegetables. Allergies are a thing of the past since I started eating lots, I mean lots of green vegetables and wild salmon. From the quantity of vegetable I eat every day, you will never know that I despised eating them when I was growing up.

I am also not a calorie counter, but I do try to limit my portions.  Oh my, and I do love rice – after all that’s primarily what I ate growing up – it was always rice with some type of stew or curry.   Mom, Juliet, always used rice to stretch the meal to feed me and my five sisters because we could not afford a lot of meat or fish. In recent years, I have learned to use brown rice as a healthy alternative.

I love to use a lot of fresh herbs in my recipes.  I  also try to use organic chicken, grass-fed beef and lots of organic vegetables.
