It might sound like a cliche – “Eat your veggies and fruits.” But it’s a fact that doctors orders are to eat lots of green, leafy vegetables and fruits. I’m not a doctor, but as an adult, I love an abundance of vegetables and fruits (I used to hate them as a child). ¬†Making healthy smoothies is an additional way to get even more of the goodness of vegetables and fruits.

This page is dedicated to everything smoothies Рthe combinations are limitless.  Smoothies are a great way to get a daily dose of recommended fruits and vegetables. They tend to pack a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Traditional smoothies are typically defined as a creamy drink that is yogurt based. Most of the smoothies I develop are dairy free with no artificial sugar (there might be one or two that I add agave or honey). I achieve the creamy texture from two standard ingredients Рavocados and peanut butter.

The smoothies are very flexible – meaning you can substitute ingredients easily (flavors will change depending on what substitutions you make.) I invite you to make the original smoothies on the site and then learn from your palate what changes you can make to reflect your taste.
