Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: PORTIONS FOR TWO SERVINGS:

  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup (Recipe follows)
  • 1 organic Granny Smith apple cored and diced
  • 1 ounce Sour Apple Pucker
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce Midori Liqueur
  • 3 ounces Patron

INGREDIENTS: PORTIONS FOR FOUR TO SIX SERVINGS:

  • 2 ounces simple syrup (Recipe follows)
  • 4 cups diced organic Granny Smith apples (about 4 to five apples - cored and diced)
  • 4 ounces Sour Apple Pucker
  • 4 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 4 ounces Midori Liqueur
  • 12 ounces Patron

SIMPLE SYRUP INGREDITENTS:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

SIMPLE SYRUP:

  • Add the water and sugar to a small saucepan over medium-flame. Stir the sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved - about one to two minutes. Cool before using. You can store any extra in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Note: Simple syrup is simply equal parts of water and sugar.

FOR PERFECT APPLE MARTINI FOR TWO:

  • Add the apples and lime juice to a blender.  Puree the apples.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and stir well with a long spoon.
  • Using a fine-mesh strainer, strain the martini into a measuring cup.  Use a spoon to help squeeze out the martini leaving behind the apple pulps.
  • Add crushed ice to a shaker.  Add the strained Martini.  Shake vigorously until the walls of the shaker is very cold - up to a minute.
Pour into your favorite martini glass, sip slowly and enjoy.

FOR PERFECT APPLE MARTINI FOR FOUR TO SIX:

  • Repeat the instructions from the recipe for two using the ingredients portions listed for the four to six servings.

Notes

The first time I tested this recipe I used Vodka. It worked so you can choose to use it instead of Patron.
