Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chamomile Tea strong brewed and chilled
  • 1 cup fresh cherries pitted
  • 1 plum peeled, seeds removed, and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 organic Granny Smith apple cut into chunks
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic vanilla extract
  • 2 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon organic chia seeds
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender.  Blend until you achieve your desired smoothie texture up to one minute. Pour into glass and enjoy.
1 cup Chamomile Tea, 1 cup fresh cherries, 1 plum, 1/2 organic Granny Smith apple, 1/4 avocado, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 teaspoon organic vanilla extract, 2 fresh mint leaves, 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon organic chia seeds, 1 cup crushed ice

Notes

I usually brew the tea the night before and place in the refrigerator.  I use TAZO tea bags and steep for at least five minutes. You can brew the tea the day you need it and place in the freezer for 15 minutes to quick cool.  I do not add any sweetener to my smoothies as I like the natural sugars from the fruits - feel free to add a tablespoon of raw honey or even peanut butter or almond butter to give it extra sweetness.
