Easy Homemade Strawberry Sorbet

Skip the sugar! Make this healthy and delicious honey-sweetened sorbet recipe. Sweetened with raw honey or maple syrup the sorbet is easy to make and can be churned in an ice cream maker or by hand.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds strawberries organic. hulled
  • 1 cup raw honey organic or substitute maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 8 to 10 fresh mint leaves
  • Optional: a pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  • Dump all ingredients into a blender. Puree until smooth.
    2 pounds strawberries , 1 cup raw honey, 1/3 cup lemon juice, 8 to 10 fresh mint leaves, Optional: a pinch of sea salt
  • Pour into a large glass jug and chill in freezer for 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.
  • Remove the chilled puree and pour into the ice cream maker. Churn according to ice cream maker instructions.
    Note: In the Whytner compressor machine, I churn for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Transfer the churned sorbet into ice cream freezer bowls. Serve immediately and freeze excess. Enjoy!
