Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a mini food processor, pulse together the onions, garlic, and mixed herbs, until finely minced.
1/2 medium red onion, 1/2 elephant garlic, 2 tablespoons mixed herbs
  • Don't skip this step of pulsing the aromatics. The finely minced onions will result in your burger not tasting like raw onions.
  • Transfer the minced aromatics, into a medium mixing bowl. Add the cumin, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes mustard and olive oil. Mix together until well combined.
1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/2 tablespoon whole grain mustard, 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Add the ground chicken. Mix thoroughly, and be careful not to over mix.
    2 pounds ground chicken
  • Divide into 6-equal portions, and shape into patties about 1/4 thickness.

Preheat the oven broiler on medium

  • Spray a broiler pan with non-stick spray. Place the patties on the pan.
    olive oil non-stick spray
  • Broil the patties 5-6 inches from the heating element. Broil 3- 4 minutes. Remove the pan, and flip the patties. Broil 3-4 minutes more. Or broil until the internal temperature reaches 165F Degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the patties and serve with your favorite sides for a healthier meal - we serve with sautéed spinach and mushrooms.
