Ingredients

For the ginger-turmeric simmer

  • 3 inch piece fresh turmeric peeled and grated
  • 3 inch piece fresh ginger peeled and grated
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 Cardamom pod
  • pinch of freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup water

For the rose infusion

For the Dairy

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional) or to taste. May substitute your favorite sweetener
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened milk
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened kefir milk may substitute plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon grape seed oil
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

Simmer the ginger turmeric and spice

  • In a small saucepan, add the water, ginger, turmeric, star anise and cardamom pod. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Turn off the heat.
    3 inch piece fresh turmeric , 3 inch piece fresh ginger, 1 star anise, 1 Cardamom pod, 1 1/4 cup water

Infuse the rose-petals

  • Add in the rose petals, cinnamon and fresh mint leaves. Steep off the heat for 8 to 10 minutes
    1 tablespoon dried rose petals, 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 7 - 8 fresh mint leaves
  • Strain into a blender. Add honey or favorite sweetener while still warm.
    1 tablespoon raw honey (optional)

Bring it altogether

  • Pour the almond milk and kefir milk into the blender. Add in the ice cubes.
    3/4 cup unsweetened milk, 3/4 cup unsweetened kefir milk, 1 cup ice cubes
  • Blend until well combined. Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy.
    Note: Makes approximately 32 to 36 ounces. Excess can be stored in juice bottles or jug and keeps fresh up to 5 days, if it last that long.
