Bring the water to a boil. Remove the water from the heat. Add the tea bags and lemon slices. Allow the tea bags and lemons to steep for five minutes. Remove the tea bags and lemon slices. Allow the tea to cool. Note: The tea can be made a day or two in advance and refrigerate until ready to use.
FOR THE SMOOTHIE:
In a blender, add one cup of the tea and the remaining smoothie ingredients. Blend for up to one minute until smoothie texture achieved. Pour in your favorite glass and enjoy.
