BBQ Jerk Sauce

An easy and super delicious jerk bbq sauce that is perfect for seasoning lamb, chicken, meats and seafood. Or simply use as a dipping sauce.

Equipment

  • 2 quart heavy bottom pot

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke hickory or mystique (https://amzn.to/3wm4GEk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (I use raw organic honey)
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons jerk marinade seasoning (recipe link in notes). I used 4 tablespoons of the marinade

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a 2-quart heavy bottom pot.
  • Str thoroughly. Use medium heat. Bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat to low and simmer 25 to 30 minutes until the sauce thickens to your likeness.
    Note: Stir the sauce occasionally.
  • Turn off the stove once the sauce thickens. Transfer to a a bowl or jar. Use the Sauce to season meats, chicken, seafood or simply use as a diping sauce.
