Make the Spinach Herbed Mixture

  • In a skillet or frying pan, cook the shallots in extra virgin olive oil. 2 to 3 minutes.
    2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil , 1 small shallot
  • Add the garlic, red pepper flakes and herbs. Mix. Cook 30 to 60 seconds.
    4 - 5 cloves garlic, 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup herbs
  • Add spinach, salt, freshly ground black pepper and soy sauce. Mix and cook until spinach has wilted. About 2 minutes. Drain the mixture in a strainer to get rid of excess liquid and allow to cool.
    10 ounces baby organic spinach, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 2 teaspoons soy sauce

Prepare the Turkey Patties

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all the turkey patties ingredients, including the spinach mixture. Mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined being careful not to over mix.
    2 pounds turkey ground meat, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon mustard, 2 ounces goat, 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil , the cooked spinach mixture
  • Divide the mixture and shape into patties. For 1/4 pounders, divide into 8 portions and for 1/2 pounder divide into 4 portions.
  • Heat the avocado oil in a cast iron skillet. Pan fry the patties 2 to 3 minutes per side.

  • Serve these patties on your favorite burger buns and toppings of choice.
