Perfect Apple Martini Cocktail

Perfect Apple Martini

This Perfect Apple Martini Cocktail is unlike any you have ever tried. It gave me goosebumps when I took the first sip. My favorite Sour Apple Martini can be found at the Cheesecake Factory restaurant – my husband was brave enough, several years ago, to ask for the recipe. They blurted out a few ingredients that I noted mentally.  Guess what? It did not work – what a flop. I was convinced their secret ingredient was missing. I don’t think I ever attempted to make another Apple Martini since then – it has been a few years.

Fast forward to now; I was looking for a cocktail drink to serve to my in-laws who were coming over for dinner.  I wanted to delight them with one I had not served in the past. The  game plan was to attempt to create an Apple Martini that would hopefully taste as good as my memory reminded me of the restaurant version that I loved so much. I settled on using fresh apple as the star in this cocktail.  So off to shopping for some fresh organic Granny Smith apples, fresh limes, Patron, Sour Apple Pucker and Midori Liqueur.

The result was astonishingly great.  My husband said it was better than the restaurant version and my in-laws enjoyed it very much.

I hope you will enjoy this cocktail as much as we did.  Your feedback, comments or questions are welcome.  Please use the reply feature at the end of the recipe or use the contact page to send them in. Thanks for stopping in to check out the Heavenly recipes.

Equipment

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: PORTIONS FOR TWO SERVINGS:

  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 organic Granny Smith apple cored and diced
  • 1 ounce Sour Apple Pucker
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 ounce Midori Liqueur
  • 3 ounces Patron

INGREDIENTS: PORTIONS FOR FOUR TO SIX SERVINGS:

  • 2 ounces simple syrup (Recipe follows)
  • 4 cups diced organic Granny Smith apples (about 4 to five apples – cored and diced)
  • 4 ounces Sour Apple Pucker
  • 4 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 4 ounces Midori Liqueur
  • 12 ounces Patron

SIMPLE SYRUP INGREDITENTS:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

SIMPLE SYRUP:

  • Add the water and sugar to a small saucepan over medium-flame. Stir the sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved – about one to two minutes. Cool before using. You can store any extra in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Note: Simple syrup is simply equal parts of water and sugar.
1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup water

FOR PERFECT APPLE MARTINI FOR TWO:

  • Add the apples and lime juice to a blender.  Puree the apples.
1 organic Granny Smith apple, 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Add the remaining ingredients and stir well with a long spoon.
1 ounce Sour Apple Pucker, 1 ounce Midori Liqueur , 3 ounces Patron, 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Using a fine-mesh strainer, strain the martini into a measuring cup.  Use a spoon to help squeeze out the martini leaving behind the apple pulps.
  • Add crushed ice to a shaker.  Add the strained Martini.  Shake vigorously until the walls of the shaker is very cold – up to a minute.
Pour into your favorite martini glass, sip slowly and enjoy.

FOR PERFECT APPLE MARTINI FOR FOUR TO SIX:

  • Repeat the instructions from the recipe for two using the ingredients portions listed for the four to six servings.
2 ounces simple syrup, 4 cups diced organic Granny Smith apples, 4 ounces Sour Apple Pucker, 4 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice, 4 ounces Midori Liqueur, 12 ounces Patron

Notes

The first time I tested this recipe I used Vodka. It worked so you can choose to use it instead of Patron.
