A refreshing drink with Earl Grey Black Tea, Mango Dragonfruit puree, ginger and mint.

Before buying another “Starbucks” Refresher drink, this Black Tea Mango Dragonfruit Drink is a must try. This drink takes advantage of fresh mango and dragonfruit. Simply Start by peeling and puréing the fruits with some lime juice. Then it’s added to a pot of Earl Grey Black Tea that steeped in fresh mint and ginger. Sweeten with honey and cool the tea before pouring in the mango dragonfruit puree.
Besides the light and refreshing flavor of this Black Tea Mango Dragonfruit Drink, the taste is surprisingly not sweet. Although the mango has a good amount of sweetness, the dragonfruit mild flavor created the perfect balance. This allowed room to sweeten with honey for some added health benefits.
And, by the way, the Earl Grey Black Tea steeped in fresh mint and ginger water, is a refreshing drink on its own. Drink it hot or iced. Either way it’s delicious. To get the best tea flavor, Earl Grey Black Tea loose leaves works best. But you may substitute black tea tea bags if you must.
What is Dragonfruit
Dragonfruit is a nutritious vibrant fruit. It is from the cactus family. It’s full of fiber and the color is pink on the outside. It’s also known as pitaya or strawberry pear. The outside appearance is “ugly” with a scale-like look. Hence the name “dragon” fruit. The skin is pink while the inside is white with edible mini black seeds. While many people say the flavor is sweet, it truly taste more bland. Because of this light and bland flavor, it pairs perfectly in this Black Tea Mango Dragonfruit Refresher Drink.
This drink can be refrigerated for up to three days. That is if it lasts that long. Pour over a glass of ice and enjoy. Happy Cooking!
